We live on the shore of the world's greatest lake and its an integral part of our communty's marketing around the "Superior By Nature" brand. Its fitting that Thunder Bay is hosting the 4th annual International Lake Tourism Conference at Lakehead University. The event is being held from June 21-25, 2009.
Water is an essential attraction in building a successful tourism economy. However, its important to build it in a sustainable manner so that its there for future generations of visitors to enjoy. This conference, hosted by Lakehead University, (www.lakeheadu.ca) provides a great international forum to discuss opportunities and challenges for lake tourism and will provide a great foundation for discussion and foster a greater understanding on how we develop and manage the resources we are so gilfted to have as a visitor draw.
